The Urban Cowboy Experience
If you've spent time in Smithville, then you know Jamboree is a BIG deal around here during spring time. The annual festival brings in tens of thousands of people every year, and 2022 was no exception. Well, this year's Jamboree turned out to be especially exciting for Rocking M Ranch. We were honored to sponsor housing for a few of the famous, including Mickey Gilley, Johnny Lee, and the entire Urban Cowboy Tour crew at our venue! MICKEY GILLEY AND JOHNNY LEE!!! Seeing them perform at Jamboree, and taking photos with them backstage was truly memorable.
We were saddened to learn the week after Jamboree that Mickey Gilley passed away May 7, 2022, just two weeks after lighting up the stage and the lives of small town folk in Smithville, TX. Rest in Peace, friend.

This rustic but elegant path leads brides into the ceremony space for all to see and makes their grand entrance much more memorable. Made of crushed granite, the walkway is lined with cedar logs and allows for a more segmented venue space to separate formal dining tables from the more casual area dedicated to music, dancing, our pool and the fire pit area.
