Highly recommend this venue for your wedding, corporate retreat or just to have some friends out in the peaceful country. The staff was amazing, venue is beautiful and accommodating and I would gladly recommend to others! Our friends that came to our wedding really enjoyed the venue too and we are all already thinking about a friends weekend there to enjoy the fire pit sitting area and cooling off in the pool during the summer heat.

Rocking M Ranch is a 15-acre, family-owned ranch conveniently located an hour from Austin and less than two hours from San Antonio and Houston. The area, rich in an abundance of wildlife, wildflowers, and the rolling hills of the Post Oak Savannah region, is the perfect setting to customize your own dream wedding or host other events such as family reunions, quinceañeras, birthdays, anniversaries, or corporate functions. About Us
The land outside Smithville was purchased by the Meek family in 2006, and by early 2010 construction of a custom-built 4400-square foot vacation rental lodge was completed. Rocking M Ranch quickly became a popular weekend getaway for many folks looking to escape the stress of city life and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. Smithville, Texas is a unique and charming town off State Highway 71, and the first named "film-friendly" community by the Texas Film Commission. It is best known for films such as “Hope Floats” starring Sandra Bullock, and “Tree of Life” starring Brad Pitt. Rocking M Ranch has enjoyed providing lodging for our guests for over 12 years, including musicians and film crews, as well as the average joe looking to enjoy an upscale country experience. Some of our most notable guests include actor/musician Ryan Bingham and country music legends Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee.
In 2020, after months of planning and hard work, we began expansion of the outdoor area surrounding the lodge to include a wedding and event venue for 150-plus guests. This exceptional space includes an in-ground pool, fire pit, shade structure, pond, wedding altar, picnic tables, and areas for dining, dancing, and lawn games. Throw open our large double gates to accommodate food trucks or caterers for your event, or plan a romantic, formal affair under tree-lit, starry skies. This new outdoor venue is a natural fit to our existing lodging service where family and friends can gather in one place for a few days of relaxation following your special day.
